Building CRS, a licensed consumer reporting agency, gave us an unusual vantage point: a front-row seat across the industries of financial technology, with a particular depth in the businesses that run on regulated data. From that seat we watched hundreds of companies get built, saw which problems remained stubbornly unsolved, and met the founders working to solve them.
Caterpillar Management exists to back those founders. We provide capital alongside the consultative, operator-grade advisory that regulated fintech actually requires, so the companies we invest in can reach their next stage of growth and, collectively, build a more equitable, sustainable, and ethical financial technology industry across the world.
Years operating inside regulated data infrastructure means we recognize durable businesses, and the traps, before the market does. Pattern recognition here is earned, not researched.
We work the way operators work: on compliance strategy, bureau and data relationships, product, and go-to-market. The check is the beginning of the engagement, not the end of it.
Financial infrastructure shapes who gets access to what. We invest toward a fintech industry that is more equitable, more sustainable, and more ethical, everywhere it operates.
